Cutting the frame the interior

Cut out the opening on the inside, using the me cutting techniques as for an interior non bearing Remember to carefully probe the wall for hidden pipes and wires before cutting, and take proper measures to protect the floor or and control dust. After removing the dry wall or plaster, cut the studs where the top of the header will be. Next, pry the studs away from the back of the wall sheathing to remove m from the opening.

Make a king stud/jack stud assembly for each of the opening and predrilled them for screws. slip them into position between the sheathing id the interior wall finish (drywall or plaster). Fasten them with screws at the top and bottom. No you can slip the header into position, resting it on the tops of jacks. Toenail the header thoroughly to the king studs and the cripples above.

If the bottoms of the cripples don't quite sit on the new header, shim the gaps tightly with tapered shims. Do the same if the header sits directly underneath a top plate without cripples and the fit isn't quite perfect. The main concern is that the structural load from above is conveyed to the header.
